Not sure which you need?
Start with the door. If it rolls up like a carpet to sit above the opening, it’s a roller door: see roller door repairs. If it’s made of panels hinged together that run up and back along the ceiling, it’s a sectional door. A tilt door swings out as one piece and needs room in front of the garage (B&D).
If the door itself moves freely but the motor, the remote or the safety sensors are the trouble, see garage door motor repairs. Snapped springs and cables, doors off their tracks, the manual release and servicing are covered on our home page.
If your opener needs a new power point, that part must be done by a licensed electrician. The garage door business will tell you what it finds and quote before it starts.
