What we do
When a garage door jams, or the car is stuck inside, you need someone who can look at it safely and fix it. Finding one takes time. We do that part.
You call or send the form. We take down what’s wrong, the type of door, where you are and how soon you need someone. If you agree, we pass your details to one independent garage door business that works in your area. They call you, look at the door, quote and do the work. Your agreement for the work is with them, not with us.
What we don’t do
We don’t repair, service or install garage doors or openers, set prices or employ technicians. We’re not a garage door manufacturer or dealer, and we’re not connected with any garage door business that has a similar name. We don’t pass your details to more than one business, and we don’t pass them on at all without your permission.
The businesses we refer to
Before we send a business anything, we check its ABN on ABN Lookup and confirm that garage door repair is work it does.
Garage door work isn’t licensed building work in NSW: the Home Building Act excludes installing or maintaining a garage door from residential building work (Home Building Act 1989, Sch 1 cl 2(3)(l)). So we never describe a garage door business as licensed. Ask the business that calls you about its insurance, and get a written quote.
Electrical wiring work is different. If your opener needs a new power point, that part must be done by a licensed electrician (NSW Government).
How we’re paid
Garage door businesses pay us for the enquiries we send them. You don’t pay us anything. Our referral marketing disclosure explains this in full.
